Run (Invoke) Inventory Planning Engine

You can invoke the Inventory Planning Engine as needed.

To run the Inventory Planning Engine:

1. From the Inventory Planning menu, select IP Engine, and then Invoke Inventory Planning Engine.
   The Invoke Inventory Planning Engine tab appears.
   
   

   

   
   
   

2. Enter the required information in the Engine Parameters section.

   Field	Description
   Start Time	Start time for the engine, optional, default will run immediately.
   Item Planner Code	Limit items to those linked to a specific item code, optional, default will run all times.
   Enterprise Name	Enterprise to run IP. Required. Picker and auto complete limited to my and partner enterprises.
   Item Name	Specific item to run. Optional. Default all items will be run.
   History Start Date	Start date of the period of which history data like demand history and forecast history are to be considered. Optional. Default will be based on either Site Supplier or the Buffer Lane settings.
   History End Date	End date of the period of which history data like demand history and forecast history are to be considered. Optional. Default will be based on either Site Supplier or the Buffer Lane settings.
   Target Fill Date	The desired fill rate or service level to be achieved. Influences the statistical safety stock, the min, and the simulated safety stock for both dynamic and static policies. Optional. Default will be based on either Site Supplier or the Buffer Lane settings.
   Enable Lead Time Reduction	Lead Time Reduction is a feature of the Safety Stock Simulations. Allows for shorter lead time transportation modes to be taken in order to improve service levels. Essentially allows system to increase transportation cost to allow smaller Safety Stock levels. Optional. Default is Off.
   Run For All Items and Sites	All the engine to run for all the items and the site. Optional. Default is Off.
   Forecast Scaling	Scale up or down a forecast based on a users expectation of what forecast will be in the future rather than what the forecast data that is currently available. Optional. Default is Off.
   Override Lead Time Days	Similar to Enable Lead Time Reduction except the actual lead time is entered by the user. Allows user to experiment with different lead times to show how it impacts Safety Stock.

3. Click the Run Engine button at the bottom of the page.
   A success message appears.
