Feature Availability
This overall feature has been available since before Neo 3.0, although some APIs may only be available in later releases.
Terminology
You may see references to "Validation Rule" in this documentation and in the code. The framework was originally called "Validation Rules" but has been renamed "Business Rules" because they are now capable of more than just validation.
Purpose
This feature allows users to use simple expressions to customize system behavior. Business Rules can be integrated into existing features by module developers to provide flexibility to the user that would be difficult to match with another implementation from scratch.
