Statistics or Machinery

This really isn’t a classification of an engine per se. Sometimes these engines are just considered machines. Just run through the data and calculate statistics - the mean and standard deviation of demand at a buffer. Calculate the statistical forecast for every buffer. The engines are just complex calculators rather than any form of optimization.
